Red Coloured Dry Play Sand
Product Description
Red Coloured Play Sand
CREATIVE COLOURED SAND FOR ARTS & CRAFTS
Encourage creativity in your little ones with our vibrant red play sand, perfect for making sand art! This fun and engaging activity allows children to explore different textures and shapes while filling bottles and crafting unique pictures. Ideal for creating intricate rangoli patterns, this sand's pigmented colors contrast beautifully, enabling kids to design cool animal shapes and geometric patterns.
FORGET DISCOLOURED CLOTHES AFTER PLAYTIME & CRAFTING
Say goodbye to stained outfits! Our sand is non-toxic, non-staining, and finer than traditional Builder’s Sand. Sourced naturally, it undergoes a thorough washing process to remove any iron oxide, ensuring it doesn’t stain. After being cleaned, blended, coloured, and dried, this sand becomes a finer, smaller grain, making it perfect for tactile play that enhances fine motor skills. Use it in water and sand tables, as well as indoor or outdoor sand pits.
JUST ADD WATER TO MAKE SANDCASTLES
Bring the beach to your backyard! Transform this sand into playsand by adding just 500ml of water for every 5kg to achieve the ideal consistency for sculpting and molding. Create a rainbow kingdom of multi-coloured sandcastles with our full range of sand colors, ensuring endless fun for kids in sandpits—just remember to supervise young children during playtime.
GREAT FOR VIVARIUMS, TERRARIUMS & ANT FARMS
Thanks to its non-toxic nature, our coloured sand is also suitable for enhancing vivariums, terrariums, and ant farms. Choose a color that complements your pets or plants, as this sand provides a comfortable substrate for burrowing creatures like ants, lizards, snakes, and tortoises. Always research to ensure the sand is appropriate for your specific breed of pet.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
What's the best compost for my flower bulbs?
We would recommend a compost that contains nutrients that last up to 6 months to promote strong, healthy roots, and often includes a wetting agent to improve water retention and drainage for a vibrant spring display.
Here's the perfect one: Click Here
How can I prevent my bulbs from rotting and ensure they bloom again?
Bulbs rot in wet soil! You must have light, well-drained soil. Work compost or organic matter 8-12 inches deep into the planting bed to ensure rapid drainage and aeration.
Plant most bulbs in full sun or part sun for the long-term energy recharge.
What is the most critical step for getting flowers next year after the current blooms fade?
Do not cut the foliage (leaves) after the flower dies. The green leaves need approximately 8 weeks to yellow and brown naturally. This post-bloom period is when the bulb recharges its energy (carbohydrates) for next year’s flower. Cutting them early causes bloom failure!
How deep should I plant my bulbs?
Plant bulbs roughly three times as deep as the bulb’s height (e.g., a 2-inch tall bulb should be planted 6 inches deep). This depth provides crucial thermal protection.
You'll find the exact specifications on the bulbs page/
Do you ship to Northern Ireland or the EU?
At present, we’re unable to ship to Northern Ireland due to post-Brexit regulations. The additional paperwork and costs involved would make it too expensive for customers.
We hope this situation will change in the near future.
